Dan Eastough studied for his BSc degree in Sports Science at the University of Wales, 斯旺西, before completing a PhD in Neuroscience 和 Motor Control at the 体育与运动科学学院 at the University of Birmingham. He then spent two 和 a half years as Higher Education Course Leader at North East Worcestershire College (now Heart of Worcestershire College) before joining the U2电竞体育平台 in 2009 as a Senior Lecturer in 生物力学. He is a 其他的 高等教育学院 和 holds Distinction level teaching qualifications in both HE 和 FE settings.

Dan has a keen interest in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) 和 in the optimal use of IT, digital devices 和 educational platforms to improve the learning 和 teaching experience for both staff 和 students.

Having spent over 20 years in the practice 和 coaching of martial arts 和 fitness instruction, Dan has a particular interest in training 和 conditioning for health, fitness 和 well-being 和 sees sport 和 exercise education as a key component in the promotion of habitual physical activity 和 healthy living.

Dan's research predominantly involves perception, action 和 movement control. His current interests revolve around how the Central Nervous System controls muscular force production at both a conscious 和 subconscious level in relation to visual 和 other perceptual information. He is also involved in research into alternative training modalities such as the use of minimalist footwear.
